Installation and first use of EduMentalAssignPro

Step-by-step instructions for installing and using EduMentalAssignPro


Step 1: Open your browser or the Teams desktop app

Recommended browsers: Chrome, Brave or Opera.
Not recommended: Safari and Firefox.

Step 2: Sign in to Microsoft Teams (if not already signed in)

Open your chosen browser and go to Microsoft Teams. Or use your desktop Teams application (must be the version "Teams for work, school and university" and not "Teams for home").

Sign in with your school Microsoft account.

If you are logged in with another M365 Business account, log out first (1) or add another account (2) and then log in with your school account.


Step 3: Access the Apps section


In Microsoft Teams, look in the left sidebar and click on the "Apps" icon (1) or "For your organization" (2).

Step 4: Search for EduMentalAssignPro

If the app is not immediately visible, type "EduMentalAssignPro" in the search bar at the top of the Apps section.


Once you see the EduMentalAssignPro app in the search results, click on "Open".

Step 5: Install EduMentalAssignPro

Click the "Add" button to install EduMentalAssignPro in your Teams environment.
Follow the additional instructions to complete the installation.


You may need to authorize the app first. If this popup appears, you will need to log in again.

Click on "Authorize" and follow the further instructions.

Step 6: Synchronize tasks

After installation, open the EduMentalAssignPro app.
The app will automatically sync your assignments with the school database. This may take a few moments.


Step 7: Using EduMentalAssignPro

  1. You can now access all assignments from classes throughout your school directly in the app.
  2. Use the search and filter functions to quickly find specific tasks.
  3. Tasks can be viewed in card or list view . Use the Shift key to switch between views.

Step 8: Create and copy tasks

To create a new assignment, click "Create from existing" and select the relevant class and assignment.
Creating copies of tasks opens a browser tab due to Microsoft restrictions. This issue will be fixed in a future update.


Important instructions


Make sure you are signed in to the correct Microsoft account to avoid conflicts.

If you encounter problems, check that you are using one of the recommended browsers and are logged in with your school account.
